MOUNT KILIMANJARO

The nearly 5900 meters high Mount Kilimanjaro climbers tempt 40,000 per year. Approximately 10 leave their life in some of its routes. Of the 6 possible, 4 are considered high risk. That does not frighten all types of people: children aged 8 and 87 grandparents, celebrities looking to raise some noble cause, anonymous or celebrities.
The latter are Martina Navratilova who reached the 4490 meters in 2010, or Roman Abramovich could bear just a few meters a year earlier. Don Roman made a trip more relaxed as it took a team of 113 porters for small group formed by him and his six buddies, who had arrived in Tanzania in the Russian millionaire B767.
A Roman or Martina did not fail them nor the equipment, nor the physical preparation, and climate. Both were defeated by altitude sickness.
An impressive fact: in 20 years, Kilimanjaro has lost the white hair that crowns. Climate change will melt forever eternal snows.
If you're planning to climb Kilimanjaro, here are some facts that will interest you. And if its not even a notion going through your head (like me), you will still find information to satisfy your curiosity.
